[File:New_odd_couple.jpg|thumb|left|276px]] The New Odd Couple is an ABC network sitcom and remake of "The Odd Couple", but with a primarily African-American cast, starring Ron Glass & Demond Wilson.
The show also starred John Schmuck, Bart Braveman, Jo Marie Payton & Liz Torres. It aired on October 29, 1982 and eight of the episodes used recycled scripts from the original "Odd Couple" series.
But by the time the writers began producing new scripts, "The New Odd Couple" was cancelled on May 26, 1983 after 18 episodes, leaving 2 unaired.
